This ‘Cold Sore Free Forever’ review is all about an amazing cure for cold sores that involves no radical new treatments or potentially dangerous prescription drugs.

This was of particular interest to me, as I had been taking a generic form of acyclovir for years without much luck. I finally gave it up on the advice of my physician, as I was pregnant with my first child, and wanted to breastfeed after the birth (which is a no-no with acyclovir).

Scott Allen, AuthorSo I was really happy to find ‘Cold Sore Free Forever’ and a much safer alterative. But this eBook does more then just give you an alternative and safe cure: it really explains (in layman’s terms) the causes and origins of cold sores and tells you about all their variations as well.

For example, in ‘Chapter 1. What is a Cold Sore?’, you find out everything you ever wanted to know about the Herpes Simplex Virus (Type–1/HSV–1), based on what the author has learned after careful research. The author had Herpes since he was a teen, just like me, so it felt like he was right there with me as I read on.

Chapter 2. How Do Cold Sores Affect Us?’ continued on in this way of providing clear and concise information on the topic, and I found myself learning more and more as each paragraph passed. For example, in this chapter I found out that I had Herpes Simplex type 1, which refers to any herpes outbreaks that occur above the waist. I’m sure that I caught the virus doing my promiscuous kissing days in high school, but never considered it a cause to fight until I read ‘Chapter 3. Fighting the Cold Sore Virus’.

Here is where the book gets really interesting and where I found a cure better then any I tried before. You find out all kinds of cool information, like how oxygen and herpes don’t like to mix, and that you can use this info to fight off future attacks. So the recommended approach in this eBook, among other things, is to raise your oxygen levels! Another eye-opening section in chapter 3 was the one on acidosis. I had no idea that HSV-1 is more active when pH levels are 7 or below, or in other words, your body is in an acidic state.

box_largeChapters 4 and 5 are the “meat” or “carrot” of the book, depending in whether you are vegetarian or not. They go into great detail about two treatment methods: the DMSO method and the Toothpaste method. I choose the latter, as Dimethyl Sulfoxide is not supposed to be good for pregnant moms, but toothpaste has been declared safe. But both these chapters have clear procedures for safely using both common over the counter products.

The next three chapters, ‘Chapter 6. Increasing Your Body’s Oxygen Supply’, ‘Chapter 7. WaterOz OxyDrop’ and ‘Chapter 8. Get Rid of Acidosis’, contain basic instructions on how to increase the level of oxygen in your blood supply and reduce the amount of acidity in your body. These are all good things, regardless of whether or not you suffer from herpes, and I will keep these chapters in mind for a long time to come.

The last chapter of this 100+ page book is titled ‘Maintaining a Cold Sore Free Life,’ which is exactly what I am doing right now, following along with the program outlined in ‘Cold Sore Free Forever’. My pregnancy has been stressful, and I expected as least more than one outbreak of cold sores as a result, but so far by following the program outlined in ‘Cold Sore Free Forever’, I have managed to keep my life just that, cold sore free.
